There are many people who make Scouting possible, from the district level to the Den level, it wouldn't be possible without the help of so many volunteers.
Each year district volunteers are recognized for their outstanding service to their unit or to the district. This year's District Recognition Dinner-the first for Tall Timbers District!-will be held Saturday, January 30 of 2010. Tickets will be available at Round table meetings (December 10 and January 14 at Grace Crossing church off 1488) for the next couple months. It's a great fundraiser as well as dinner! This is one event you won't want to miss.
So what does this mean for you? The volunteers have to be nominated to receive recognition. There is a fellow Scout in our ward who served for around 20 years before someone finally nominated him for an award. Take the opportunity to recognize someones efforts and dedication by submitting their name for one of many awards.
Visit http://www.talltimbersdistrict.org/ for award history and for the nomination packet.
Due by December 10 at Round table!!!
