Coupon Book Sales Ending Early!

Lots of announcements today, it seems!!!

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the coupon book sales!!! I know a few of you have already sold quite a few, and there have been some struggles. We are going to go ahead and end the coupon book sales this week. I know this is a week early, but we have been asked to end the fundraiser. If you could bring any and all coupon books and money earned to Scouts this Tuesday, we would appreciate it!!!

Thank you for all your hard work!

Cub Scout Day Camp-Volunteers Needed

This year day camp will be just as fun or more fun than it was last year-but only if we have your help!!! The Cub Scout program relies almost solely on our great volunteers, and we are looking for a few more!!!

Just recently the district chairman sent an email out, he is looking for people would who would be able to volunteer their time at Cub Scout Day Camp to run classes. This is the information we have so far:

I am inviting each of you (and/or your spouse) to participate as a volunteer for Cub Scout Day Camp.

This year Day Camp will be held June 13-17 at Cub World (Camp Strake).

There are a variety of volunteer positions ranging from Registrar to "Me Too" leader to Session Instructor. However, you will need to receive some advance training and must be able to attend each day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Please let me know if you are willing to accept this invitation.

What a great way to spend some time with the youth in our area, teaching core values and helping plan exciting activities! If you are available, think you will be, would like more information or would like to volunteer your spouse or neighbor who could use a little sunshine this summer, please let us know!

Annual Blue and Gold Banquet

This year's Blue and Gold theme is "Turn Back Time!"

Our Pack's Blue and Gold banquet will be February 22, at 6:30pm
(Formal Invitations to Follow)

This is a big event for Cub Scouts-we are celebrating the birthday of Sir Baden Powell and the birthday of Cub Scouting! The Blue and Gold is a great time for your son to earn awards and advancements, so if he needs a little motivation to finish a few things, this is a good one!

Every year we have an annual cake contest for the Fathers/Sons to participate in. The boys get to make a cake with their Dad (or Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle, Mom) and bring it to the dinner to share. We will have awards for the cakes!

We will be using the theme for the cake contest (although you can make any kind of cake that you want and decorate it however you'd like!) and for our skits. Each den got a different era for their skit ranging from the roaring 50's the to 70's! We will be practicing at our den meetings. Be prepared for a good show, and bring your own singing voice!

For dinner at the Blue and Gold we will be enjoying a baked potato bar. The pack will provide butter, sour cream, cheese and chili. We have invited the families to bring any other toppings they might want to share!

This will also be the final night to collect money from the sale of the coupon books! Our goal is to sell the books fast and quick as the earlier you turn them in the more commission you get!

We look forward to seeing you and your family there!

Scout Fundraiser-Coupon Books

Many of you have already received an email about the fundraiser that we are doing for Scout Camp this year, the Kroger Coupon Books for the Scout Fair. Coupon books were available last night at the den meeting, or by contacting Sis. Parsons. Her information has been emailed out if you need to get a hold of her regarding the coupon books.

This is a great fundraiser to help your child earn their way to camp! Day Camp has been a great experience for the boys who have been able to attend, and having the boys earn their way not only saves you money, but is a valuable learning experience for your son.

We are hoping everyone will have had the chance to sell their books by February 22-the night of our Blue and Gold banquet. By collecting the money at that date, you will have earned the most commission available!

Best of luck with the coupon sales-let us know how we can help!
