This next year's Day Camp will not be one to miss! We are celebrating in 2010 the 100th anniversary of Scouting! Everything the Scouts do this coming year will be big and awesome. More reminders will be coming, but we just wanted to give y'all a heads up for next June!

Cub Scout Salute Pack Meeting

Thank you for everyone who came out to support their Cub Scouts! Tonight's pack meeting was very enjoyable. This month our focus was on Cub Scout Salute. We've been talking about service to our country, respecting the flag, and most importantly remembering our Veterans. Tonight we reminded them of some of the things they learned, had our first uniform inspection and enjoyed a fun little challenge.

We've been putting a big emphasis on wearing the uniforms correctly and getting patches on the right places. I know some of the boys are missing quite a few patches. The Den will provide most of the ones they need, but parents are also able to purchase many of them on their own at a Scout shop. (By going to Google maps and typing in "Boy Scout Shop" and your zip code, you can find the one closest to you). If you are unable to get the boys the right patches, let their Den leader know and we will do our best to help you out. If you just don't know where to sew them on, this link will take you to the official uniform check off sheet, or you may visit this link and find additional information there. The boys did really well on their first inspection! We will be doing it again for the next pack meeting on December 8. Didn't they all look sharp in their uniforms? After the inspection we gave the group a challenge, they passed with flying colors!!

Well done!

Don't forget that next week we are not having any Scout meetings-just enjoy your Thanksgiving break!!! We'll meet again on December 1.

Tonight is Pack Meeting!

Our theme is Cub Scout Salute. We will still be keeping in mind that Veteran's Day was this month, and want to thank the boys for the thank you cards they made a couple weeks ago. They were much appreciated.

Families are always welcome at Pack meeting!!! We will also be having our first official uniform inspection, please remind your son to look his best. If they have a Scout uniform, please have them wear that. If they don't, an activity shirt (like one from Day Camp) will do just fine.

And don't forget-there aren't any Scout meetings next week!

Veteran's Day

Thank you to our wonderful Veteran Dad's for sharing their stories last night! The boys really had a great time and we really appreciated you being there.
This month we are focusing on the flag and the Scout Salute. Today would be a great day to sit down with your son and talk about the freedoms we are blessed to enjoy, and to remember to thank a Veteran for their service.
The thank you cards the boys made last week will be taken to The Forum retirement community today.
