What is Scout Fair?

74th Annual Scout Fair
Saturday, April 24, 2010
Reliant Arena 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
An Adventure of a Lifetime!

Approximately 20,000 area Scouts and their leaders will participate in this year's Centennial Scout Fair Event showcasing their Scouting skills. There will be booths of all sorts full of age appropriate activities. Christmas ornaments, pet rocks, paper airplanes and tons, tons more!!! It's fun for the entire family!! And, your pack needs you to help with our booth there. The boys all learned how to fold hats at Scouts tonight so they could help run the booth. We are planning on working in shifts so everyone has a chance to take a tour. The boys were so excited tonight about their pirate booth and attending Scout Fair. We are encouraging them to wear a bandanna on their head like a pirate and if they have any other little piratey things they would like to wear or bring for decoration, they're welcome to! Scouts should wear their uniform.

Take Note:

The Scouts are heading down early to set up our booth and manage it in the morning. The Cub Scouts will be taking over about 1pm and helping to take things down. There are several vehicles with a few open seats, if you want to send your son to participate (which they would love) just give Anna a call at (281)731-4172. Perhaps you might carpool with other friends as well! Invite everyone you know! Admission is free!

Scouts who participate in Coupon Book sales and help with the booth earn the special centennial wedge patch!

The Pinewood Mega-Derby is the largest derby event in the council, and since our boys just barely had their pine wood derby we know their cars are fast! Click on the red link to register so they can race!

And don't forget, you get to enjoy outdoor Dutch Oven cooking and many other creative delicacies. Chefs from Grotto and Pesce will give Top Chef awards!!! (How could you miss the cooking!?)
