We're excited to say we have a Day Camp Coordinator for our Pack! Sis. Rick's has offered to help us out with coordinating camp forms, car pools and questions about day camp. She knows all the ins and outs!
Rachelle has also put together a list of the most important things to remember about camp! Starting at number one:
1. WATER BOTTLE-bring a water bottle or a canteen. There are places to
refill your water bottle or canteen.
2. DRINK lots of water.
3. LUNCH- bring a healthy lunch (but stuff you want to eat). There
will be coolers to put the lunches in, but it's better to stay away from
perishables as much as possible.
4. BREAKFAST-make sure you eat breakfast so you can have the energy to
participate.
5. SUNSCREEN-put on sunscreen before you head up to the camp and make
sure you reapply.
6. BUG SPRAY-we live in Texas with lots of bugs that bite. Last year
there wasn't too much of a problem, but isn't one of the Scout motto's "Be
prepared"?
7. CAMP SHIRT-you will need to wear your shirt everyday to camp or else
you will sit in the office. They want to keep track of everybody who is
supposed to be there.
8. BUDDY SYSTEM-you will have a buddy (probably a different one) every
day. Please keep with your buddy and with your group.
9. PLANTS-leaves of three, let it be. Make sure you don't touch
poisonous plants.
10. LISTEN & RESPECT- listen to the leaders and respect everybody and
everything around you.
11. ON TIME-please be on time for carpools, if you're late, everybody is
late and you will miss fun and important things.
12. HAVE FUN!
