Visit to KSTAR Country 99.7

Do you know where the term "Disk Jockey" comes from?  A long, long time ago radio stations had a seperate music room.  Before they would play a song on the radio, they would have to run into the music room and grab the right record and bring it to the production/live sound room.  Because they were constantly running for disks, that's where the term "Disk Jockey" was born.  Thanks to Outlaw Chris, we now know this!
The boys really enjoyed the tour of Radio Station KSTAR Country 99.7 this afternoon in Conroe.  They got to meet two of their DJ's and see what it's like to work at a Radio Station.
The boys weren't sure what to expect when we got there, but quickly understood how the radio station is run after our amazing tour.  They even had a chance to go live with DJ Tim Towers!
When we asked how quick people called in for a prize, the DJ gave away tickets to the drive in right in front of us so we could see.  It was pretty amazing to see how quickly those callers won!  Next time you tr to win, realize it only takes about 25 seconds to get to caller 9... so give up after a minute!

Thanks to KSTAR for giving us a tour of their great studio! We had a great time and loved every minute!
