Typical Camp Day:
The Staff arrives early to set up. Den Leaders arrive at least 15 minutes early, and go to their den site. Parents and Campers arrive and meet Den Leaders at the den site. If a den is carpooling, most of their Cubs may be with their Den Leaders already. Parents not utilizing carpooling may not leave until their pack’s Den Leaders have arrived and assumed responsibility for the scout. Den Leaders take attendance. The Opening Ceremony, including daily announcements, is held at Ceremony Island. Dens then proceed to their morning stations. Afternoon stations follow lunch. The Closing Ceremony at Ceremony Island ends the day.

Procedure for Dropping Off/Picking Up Children
It is STRONGLY recommended that you carpool to camp. The advantages of having the adults who will be at camp all day bring the boys to camp and then take them home are numerous and include:
1. You can leave camp and be home much quicker at the end of the day, since you will not have to wait in the outrageously long and highly dreaded car line.
2. There is less of a chance that your child will somehow end up in the wrong car (e.g. with an ex- spouse who is not supposed to take him).
3. You can drop off all of your lunches at your campsite when you first arrive at camp, since you have all of the kids and their lunches with you. You don’t have to waste time later going back to your den site to take the lunch of a child who was dropped off separately by his parent.
4. In the event camp is cancelled during the day due to bad weather, your child can leave camp immediately, rather than having to wait for us to call you and then wait for you to come pick him up (if you are even available)
If, however, you will not be at camp during the day, and you must drop off and pick up your child, some rules are:
Drop your children off at their campsite with their den leader and proceed straight ahead to Old Magnolia Road, turn right and you are back to Loop 336. DO NOT TURN AROUND AND GO OUT THE WAY YOU CAME.
When picking up, please wait patiently in line IN YOUR VEHICLE. Please have your designated pick-up sign with your Scout’s name written in DARK, BOLD, LEGIBLE PRINT, showing in your vehicle’s front window. If you are picking up other Scouts as well, have their pick-up signs also showing. Pick-up signs for Scouts, Junior Staff, and Me-Toos will be passed out at T-shirt pick-up for each Scout. If you do not have the sign with you for any reason, a picture identification could be requested by Security before you will be able to pick-up any Scouts.
Staff and Traffic Control Officers will read the names of the Scouts, and call them aloud to the Scouts and Den Leaders. Please keep your radio and stereo volume levels to a minimum to facilitate good communication.
DO NOT PARK IN THE ROAD AND LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE looking for your child.
